The intricities of love The complexities of life  The ebb and flow of emotions It's not that easy The possibility of losing someone  The fear of admitting we care The inability to find the right words  It's not that easy  The existance of misunderstandings The breakdown of communication The sheer uneasiness of it all  It's not that easy We make an effort to disguise We put on a facade of a smile Sometimes we even resort to ill-directed anger It's not that easy It doesn't mean we like to pretend It's just too painful to accept The amount of impact someone has on us It's not that easy  Hiding behind the walls may seem simple But the truth of the matter Is we feel so much only because we care  Even if it's not easy It may be scary to be vulnerable But it can certainly be worth the  while Let's give ourselves the space to be honest  Even if it's not easy   -Tamrina  

  We walk into their presence On unsteady feet That first day away from home That first meet and greet We are scared and clumsy Not knowing how to be  They hold our hands and reassure us They open our eyes to all there is to see As we grow up These relations also evolve From being the gentle nurturar They begin to take a realistic call Sometimes a motherly hug Some days, a friend's listening ear Whatever role they take on The right ones let us know they care They remain where they were And see the fruits of their labour spread out That's how special our teachers are They are the ones we could never do without I wish saying thank you was enough I wish there were enough words to convey How your faith in me is my strength How blessed I feel to be your student today - Tamrina
