My heart aches today For the people I never knew For the land where my loved ones grew For the misery and hurt that has no other avenue My heart aches today For the battles that were fought For the brave that we lost For all the pain and exhaust My heart aches today For the lives that are in ruin For the failed attempts of undoing For the tragedy that just keeps moving My heart aches today For the dreams left unfulfilled For the stolen laughter of every kid For the smiles and scars that will be hid A part of me still hopes for a light An awakening of something that may be right For the sun to shine at the end of the night For deliverance from this torturous plight  -Tamrina

They call you an idiot When they might mean an angel They say hate you When the true feeling is love They are a pain to be around But also a pain to be without They are who wipe your tears But also make you cry out of laughter They amaze you They scare you They freak you out But they keep you grounded They are your chosen family They mean the world to you But one good thing about them You don't need to say it for them to know Friends are our treasure Friends are our pride A life without them Is an idea I find hard to wrap my head around  -Tamrina
